44: Infertility: Your emotional and medical questions answered

I’ve always had dreams of becoming a mother for as long as I can remember. Whenever my husband and I decided to try to have a baby, I thought to myself, “This will be easy. Just keep doing what we’ve been doing and a baby will come.” After all, all the women in my family seem to have babies just from looking at their spouse.

Well 3 weeks after making the decision to have a baby, I found out that I was pregnant. 12 weeks later, I had a miscarriage. That was in September of 2010 and I didn’t get pregnant with my oldest child until November 2011. Needless to say, I went through so many emotions during that span of a year – ranging from hopelessness, depression and fear that my husband and I would be unable to conceive.

Whether you are a woman still anxiously awaiting the conception of your first child, or you’re already a mom who is struggling to have another baby, this episode of Mom Talk with Denise LaRosa addresses both the emotional and medical side of infertility.

You will be hearing from a fellow mom by the name of Becky as we share our experiences and lessons learned from our infertility struggles.

You will also be hearing from Stephen Bollinger, who is the CEO and President of Rinovum Women’s Health, LLC., a privately held women’s health company dedicated to bringing products including the STORK OTC, into the market that will enhance women’s lives and empower them to take charge of their health. Steve manages to put us all at ease while explaining the medical causes of infertility as well as offering affordable and practical solutions for women like you and me.
