The grass that never grew

Sometimes things have to die in order for you to live your best life... Old, negative, self-defeating thoughts about yourself must die in order for you to be the best woman, the best mother you can be. And guess what... YOUR BEST IS ENOUGH! Your best today may look a lot different than your best yesterday, BUT as long as you know and feel that you are committed, dedicated and determined to give it your all, there is a peace that comes over you and sustains you through those times that you think you are anything but stellar. Healthy YOU, Happy YOU: Women's Health Conversations has YOUR Back!

We Moms often put ourselves at the bottom of our priority list, especially whenever it comes to our health. But the truth of the matter is that without our health, we cannot be at our best and we cannot give our best to those we hold near and dear to our hearts.

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Women's Health Conversations and I am even more excited to attend this year! The MOMPRENEUR life: Life lessons I'm learning along the way

So here I am, two years later, and the founder/CEO of Mom Talk with Denise LaRosa, LLC. Much like being a mother, being an entrepreneur is full of its joys and challenges, ups and downs, naysayers and haters; and so many are quick to judge you and offer up their two cents or more. The last thing a mom wants to face: How Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh blessed my family

The last thing a mother wants to face is a medical emergency with her child. There are no words in the dictionary that can adequately describe the sheer terror I experienced in those two long minutes. I called my pediatrician's emergency line, and after responding to a series of questions, he informed me that my child may have had a seizure and I was to take her to the emergency room. I called my husband, who was at work, and we rushed to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The staff at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh provided our daughter with the best of medical care, while also providing us all comfort and reassurance every step of the way.

STOP blaming kids!

STOP blaming kids for your adult problems!!! Here's the deal. I don't rely on my children for my happiness nor do I blame them for my "problems." Why I am supporting the #BurghBaby Diaper Drive

Diapers are not a luxury, but a necessity for our little ones. Fortunately, The Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the National Diaper Bank Network, has launched its Burgh Baby Diaper Drive for the month of February.
